Saja Awad

Ramadan Program Lead

Saja Awad, is a compassionate mentor with a heart dedicated to serving others. She volunteered much of her life in the non-profit sector in various capacities such as a youth committee leader, president of the Muslim Students Association in college, and long-standing Islamic Relief USA volunteer through-out her childhood and young-adult life.

Her passion for helping others led her to a professional career in the non-profit sector, where she continued to inspire and uplift those around her. In 2018, Saja had her start in the non-profit sector when she worked as a Program Development Officer for a national non-profit based in Ramallah, Palestine.

After moving back to the US in 2020, she continued volunteering for various non-profits based in Texas, ultimately helping her begin her full-time position as Refugee Services Manager with Islamic Relief USA managing the organization's programs in response to the influx of Afghan and Ukranian refugees entering the US. born and raised in New

Saja holds a Bachelors in Nutrition and Food Science from Montclair State University.
