Malek Shaar

Islamic Studies Teacher

Brother Malek is an Islamic studies teacher with extensive experience in youth programs, mentoring students in educational pursuits. He has had the privilege of working across various masaajid, benefiting from the teachings of esteemed scholars such as Sh. Yaser Birjas, Sh. Omar Suleiman, Sh. Ahmed Arafat, and Sh. Kifah Mustafa. Additionally, he has enriched his knowledge by attending and listening to thousands of
hours of Al Maghrib courses and lectures delivered by scholars like Sh. Yasir Qadhi and Nouman Ali Khan.

Having served as an Islamic youth coordinator and counselor in his home community of Illinois, Brother Malek has also contributed to the development of Muslim youth in Turkey, the UAE, Texas, and Saudi Arabia. His teaching philosophy revolves around fostering deep mentor-student relationships by infusing the love of recreation with the exemplary morals and ethics derived from the Sunnah of Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him).

Passionate and dedicated, Brother Malek considers working with youth not just a skill but a cherished calling, for which he attributes all credit to Allah (SWT). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Governors State University in Illinois.
